Default Oil pump drive disassembly

Anyone know how to tear this down? I bought the Tick billet piece as the mounting boss on my OEM unit is fractured.

Seems the only option is drive out the pin on the gear?

Use a pin punch and hammer to drive the roll pin out of the gear.

Thanks Will, it came apart relatively easily.

Question - there are two washers on the assembly. The housing side “washer” has wings, while the gear side is a standard flat washer.

Are both needed on the Billet housing? I tried and the pin hole does not line up if the winged washer is used.

Honestly, I don’t see a need for either washer on the new piece but wondering if anyone has experience with this.

I used one. Its a nice piece; Definitely better than oem. The important thing is not to reuse the original drive gear. Ask me how I know. I believe i might have used a single, thin washer between the drive gear and housing; reduces end play, and , hopefully limits wear on the bottom of the housing.

Thanks, my thought was to use only the thin washer too. This would limit direct contact between the gear and housing.

I sent a note to Tick, we'll see if they respond.

Dang that billet piece looks nice. Bet that cost a penny.

Safe bet is to use a soft metal drift, brass, to drive the roll pin without deforming it.
