What is your opinion on the torque spec shown in the GM service manual for the 1986 corvette. The thru bolt M12-1.75x80 is spect at 70 ft/Lb but the nut is spec'd at 21ft/ib. this condition is not technically possible. the is no thread anywhere on the engine mount cradle - please advice c4 corvette engine mount torque specs
FSM typo. Few more in there, always a good idea to check torque specs listed in diagrams to the end of chapter summary. This one, unfortunately, doesn't have a match.
Maybe do 23 ftlb (range always bothers me, wrenches are +/- so much anyways) and add threadlock.
