1993 corvette speedometer calibration

Revisiting an old thread for the sake of those doing a search on the Abbott ERA unit.
I returned my car (1993 C4) to the mechanic and verified all wires (even the yellow) were correctly connected. The unit was returned to the manufacturer (Abbott), who verified it was operational. My experience is the Abbott unit will not work on the VSS part # that is unique to 91-93 cars (104560XX). I've read MANY posts from people using the Abbott unit without problem(s), but none specifically from a 91-93 with the 4L60 trans.
Just my experience after months of fiddling. hopefully, helpful to anyone trying to track down the same issues.
So a few months of searching netted me the correct VSS and gears (10456092), and the speedo/CC is fully functional. Cost me $100 for the VSS and $50 for the gears-- so about $50 more than the Abbott unit.
Thank for everyone's help on this thread, though we didn't get the Abbott unit working, we did eventually get me a working speed--so all good.
