Default Hideaway Antenna

FYI. Got sick of replacing antenna masts in 95 conv after 6 -10 months, so I tried Hideaway Antenna from Corvette Central. Easy to install, and so far much better reception than stock, and I am mounting in rear storage. The old power antenna has a frozen/stripped bolt that turns both bolt and fastener, so I kept it where it is. Just used a rubber plug for mast hole (can be next owner's problem). Going on long distance drive today to check on reception. So far, I like, and have smoother profile with radio on.

It's called Hideaway Antenna, through Corvette Central. Probably can Ebay or Amazon it. Approx $46 w/ shipping. Plug $6 via Amazon

I’ve been looking for an antenna option for my 94.

Is this the kind that has an adhesive ribbon with the antenna grid in it? Or is it just a wire? In the pics I see the electronics box but where does the antenna itself mount?

It does have adhesive strip to attach, just not to metal per instructions.
