Honestly I don't see a need for it. Doesn't make much difference to me.
I would only do it just to replace the sloppy stock shifter.

You have 3 choices. B&M, Hurst, and Kurt White ( Not positive about the third choice). Your best bet is to try and drive a car with each shifter. They are all pretty differant feelings between them. I prefer the B&M, the Hurst felt too much like stock. I never tried the KW shifter.

It's all a personal choice. Both are a big improvement. I've driven both and the Hurst is what I like. There are several threads on this read through them. There is even a factual comparison page out there somewhere in one of the posts that compares ald vs new etc.

Just get a new shift **** like the www.flameball.com These shift ***** will screw down about 3/4 of an inch more than the stock shift **** and make you shifter a shorter throw :smash: I did, not to make the shifter shorter but to put a lighted **** on, and it made a bid difference in the length of the throw. Now my knuckles don't come close to the radio :lol:
