You just have to get rid of all the excess garbage.

Actually made great progress today, but got chased in by a bit of rain for a while. I expect to have it pretty well buttoned up tomorrow, then will be away from it a few days. got an old hot-rod buddy coming Wednesday, he wants to adjust the valves and be here for fire-up. And I'll be happy to have him, in case I overlook something.
In the meantime, I'll begin the annual war with fallen leaves, and hopefully spend some time on the C-2.
Footnote - given the original coolant leak, plus the assorted crud from the teardown, my plan is to put in cheap-o oil and a new filter. I'll put about a hundred miles or so on it, then change again to Mobil 1 and another new filter.
Fine for a track car. No way I'm going on a multi-state road trip with no AC. But you are right, you have WAY more room to work on that!
Last car I had with no AC ended up as a dog car. With 480 on the clock and the body rusting, I couldn't justify money to find and fix the leak which shorted the radio and sunroof out and when the AC broke, I used it as a car ro take my dogs to the nearby park. I wouldn't give anyone much for a car with no AC. If it isn't working, my best offer is what the car is worth less what the cost is for redoing the entire AC.
