On the last portion of the trip my temps got up to 239 on the highway before cooling down when I got off the exit shortly after. I know these cars run hot but given my recent overheat it still had me a bit worried.
I'm not so much worried about daily driving but if I ever track it or in not summer days considering today was kind of cool.
What's the most cost effective way to make the car run a little cooler, hoping to keep it no hotter than 230? Would it be just having the fans come on earlier? I have the adld cable and the free tuning program, should I be able to figure out just fiddling around or is it more complex than that?

Both fans currently working?
As far as keeping the engine cooler. 160 deg thermostat and fans on at 200 deg, off at 190 works well for me. Cruising on the freeway temps are 170. Then when you stop moving temp creeps up to 200, fans kick on, takes me back to 190 and it will continue to cycle that way. Electric water pump is a good mod too.
