Default 1989 will not start

I am new to the Corvette Forum. Please let me know if I am out of line.
My 1989 Corvette will not START. I have replaced every thing. Please if anyone has any ideals. New fuel pump, new fuel pump pressure switch, new oil pressure switch, new plug and play ECM, new spark plugs and wires, new cap and rotor, new ignition coil, new fuel igniters. I may have left out something. Any help would by appreciated. I am scratching my head. NO FUEL PRESSURE AT THE SCHRADER Valve. Could the Security System by a problem? Thanks for your help.

I bench tested the fuel pump (old pump, original pump I assume) and its working. Guess what, new pump, not so much. The hole sending unit has perfect continuity, all three wires from top to bottom. So, where to next fellas? Oh, side note, the diaphragm that sits above the fuel pump, does it has a direction of flow?

I have NO POWER to the FR fuse in fuse panel. Could this be a problem? Does the FR fuse run the fuel pump? Owners manual says things like FUEL PUMP RELAY, ECU, and something else. I can't remember at the moment.

KEY in ON position reads NO VOLTAGE. KEY in STARTING position reads NO VOLTAGE. Thanks for any help.

Are you sure FR isn't FP? Does the pump cycle when you turn the key on? Do you have pressure at the shrader valve after you turn the key? The pulse snubber above the FP does not have a direction. It's also not necessary. Most replace it with a piece of submersible fuel hose. It sounds like you're swapping a lot of parts without troubleshooting. That usually makes things worse unless you get lucky.
You need the service manual. I have the PDF version here for the '87 which is pretty much identical. You probably want to start with the electrical supplement. Happy hunting!

First off, I believe it is Schrader Valve. That will help you if you have to Google something.

Second, have you put a DVOM on the fuel pump to see if it is getting power? You will need an assistant for this. Turn the key on and it should cycle the pump. It will not allow you to keep cycling the pump by turning it on and off and on, etc. First time in a while gets you a 2 second prime pulse. After that, probably nothing. It is designed with the assumption that you don't need to keep priming so it will take a while to "recover".

Third, I think you can jumper pins on the ALDO to get the pump to engage

jv9999: My fuse is FR. (see attached pic) How would I know if the pump cycles when you turn the key on? Should you be able to here it cycle? I have no pressure at the schrader valve after you turn the key. Thanks for sharing your pdf.

To make a long story short. I installed a new Fuel Pump sending unit from Delphi Technologies. CORVETTE RUNS BETTER THAN NEW. Hallelujah !!!!!!!

Thanks for your help.

You should see a pressure spike if the pump is functioning. It attempts to prime the system and it should hold pressure so that if you don't start it instantly, there is sufficient pressure for a while.

It'll be one of the BIG fuses. Sorry I just scanned through about 100 pages of car wont start diags on my 1993 FSM manual. or VATS. No help there. you'll need pressure gauges, and break out wiring adapter to probe with. I did say its a Hundred Pages of Car wornt start diags? at least.

indeed you can jumper +12Vdc to ALDL pin G which will send power through the FP Relay and FP Fuse to the FP.
Indeed, power to fuel pump passes through the fuse.

I find that a fuel pressure gauge is quite useful when searching out fuel delivery issues.
When you turn the key On, you should see ~42psig at the Schrader valve (the value I see on my '89) and that value should hold with hardly any drop in value.

My bad. I confused it with OBD2 which HAS a 12V power.
