X2, right here. I should probably issue a statement/official apology around here, on a daily basis.

IDK Kracken, I haven't been offended by ya. Post on!

I apologize for nothing... Well, except for those times when I come off as snooty in those LS swap threads. Haha..

We've all been there done that, but it takes a real man to admit his mistake and apologize. I'll tell you this much though - you'd NEVER see this in the Challenger forums. Sure is nice to be back home where I belong.

Dang it, here I thought this would be an informative post explaining that an unintended change in the forum software had caused members to reply to ancient dead threads en masse, that the problem has been fixed, and pardon the dust.

My faith in humanity is forever tarnished.

For real though, hadn't noticed, so I doubt it's a big deal. This is the internet. It happens.

Why do you feel YOU must address the newbs (or anyone else for that matter) on the topic of optis if it disturbs you so much and makes you bitter?? Why not just sit back and let others take the con. It's not your responsibility. You'll enjoy the forum a lot more (and others will welcome your company) if you're not bitter jumping in!

It is what it is. We are also looking for community here, and you can eventually outgrow the conversations. It is rinse and repeat most of the time. A dedicated forum at least has a history to read and learn and (gasp) Contribute, As opposed to FB where every question is the same clearly people are learning how not to do their own research. There is no involvement on FB, people just blurt out the same old questions and brag on the same old crap like roll racing, and it gets tiresome. One of the reasons I shifted gears from Camaro6 I-4. That place is a ghost town now. Maybe its a refection on that demographic, take it for what it is. We are humans and these are unprecedented times. The knowledge here is valued, trust me. We all get bitchy and that's life. This is a very good forum compared to several others I look at.

i came to this forum to soak up knowledge. was a medium time lurker before i joined right after i got my vette in feb of this year. and after joining, to say that i underestimated what i would learn here (and will continue to do so) is an understatement on an order of magnitude. i was no stranger to a shop and doing some wrenching. my dad was a mechanic for thirty years back in the old days and i grew up playing in grease puddles on 1000 degree texas days in our carport. he came to watch me change the intake manifold on my lincoln town car for fun couple weeks back. ended up getting dirty himself a little. the absolute metric **** ton of information that is available on this site and continues to be provided by the knowledgeable enthusiasts here is STAGGERING. full stop. having said that, far as i'm concerned ain't nobody got nothing to apologize for. ever. if you're too thin skinned to put up with a crusty bastard trying to help you, or worse, too stupid to be grateful for the knowledge they are taking their time to share, for FREE, about the cars we all love, maybe find a nice corolla group to hang out in.

any of you guys find yourself in north dallas and thirsty, my liqour cabinet will be as open as my front door. feel free to stop by.
