Where do I get a socket(??) to remove the differential fill plug on a 1995?

Isn't it just a square? As in, the same shape as what sockets connect to on your driver? Pretty sure you just use your socket wrench minus the socket to get that thing off.

Whoops, you're right, it was only a square on non-Corvette models using that diff. The Corvette used a 17mm hex socket.

I just use vicegrips. There's not a lot of room up there for a ratchet. At least on the D44.

Get a nut w/a 17mm head. If it's not thick enough, then get a bolt w/a 17mm head, a pair of the corresponding nuts, and double nut the bolt. Use the bolt head as a driver and the outer nut driven by your socket or wrench.
