I woulndn't hesitate for a min to rev a well built hydro roller to 6500
add the rev kit, a GOOD and LIGHT top end and a rev kit- 6700.
Add Comp R lifters (HA! TRY TO FIND THEM!) and you can rev to 7000.
This all coming from a guy who revved to 6700 on his stock 2blt main bottom end :)
Good valves, titanuim caps for the springs, good rockers-
I dont see a problem with good springs.
PS the comp R's are supposdly rapid leakdown lifters-
or bascially the ones that cant hold oil well so you may want to bump up to a highvolume/pressure pump if you have and aftermarket deep pan and havn't done so already.
It might be overkill for you though. just make sure you dont colapse a lifter with all these superfluce springs
