Hey guys. Last couple of outings I've had in the car I've noticed a couple dime sized drips underneath when I come back and park it. They're in the area of the driver's side floorpan. Obviously I haven't been driving it far as I am waiting on my wheels still... just up and down the block but it started doing this toward the end of last year. My guess based on where it is located and what it feels like consistency wise is gear gear oil.
Based on the location for now I'm going to say it seems like the side cover on the 4 speed where the link arms are although I need to get some cardboard under the car and actually test it. I cleaned the undercarriage a few weeks ago to prepare for this and I will try and isolate exactly where it is coming from. Presently I am not losing fluid from any other canister or tank on the car that I can notice so that would make sense...
further testing is needed but I was curious, does anyone even sell or know what the parts are to reseal that? I tried looking for 4+3 linkage cover seals and gaskets and it defaults to the oil pan gasket for the overdrive portion... does not seem like a bad job to do was just curious of it makes sense is all. Any input is appreciated. Thanks in advance. And if it looks to be something else I will update.
It's called a shift shaft seal, I just looked it up on rock auto and I'm sure you can find it elsewhere now you know what it's called and yes it's Not a bad job may 15/20 Minutes once under car

Completely over looked that. Thank you.
I did take a quick look at it and that seems to be where it is coming from. It also looks like the cover itself was installed with RTV. So that needs to be addressed as well. Wish I noticed it/replaced it when I pulled the trans for the overdrive unit and clutch... Would have been very easy but I guess I must have missed it.
