Okay, the strange occurance that I thought had dissappeared, reappeared. My hatch not working first started about two months ago, but it would only occasionally not work. It happened late one night and decided to look at it the next morning, but it worked then, so I ignored it. This happened a couple more times, and then it would work again later. This last time, however, it stopped working and hasn't worked for a couple of weeks. When I went out to try what you said, it opened like it should, me not having to lift on it. I tried it several times more, and it worked great. I know that it will stop working again shortly. Now with the full story, any more help?

Re: Hatch won't open? (graddium)
The "click" is the hatch release relay on the passenger side under the plastic trim and some foam. The relay feeds the hatch release solinoid which is located at the latch. Your solinoid is probably a gonner.
First confirm with a test light or VOM that 12 V is getting to the solinoid when the button is push. Then check the hold down screw for the solinoid (only ground), then replace solinoid.
Mine did this too. It turned out to be a combination of weak struts and the window was stuck to the seal. I got my wife to push the button a few times while I pulled up on the glass and it opened. Once I treated the seal it worked fine. The solonoid pulls and releases the latch, but if the glass doesn't lift then the catch stays inside the latch when the solonoid closes. You need to pull up on the glass as the solonoid is activated to test properly. I think those solonoids are pretty reliable units.
You should hear a fairly loud click when you hit the button. If not then the solenoid is probably gone. Check out http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=1874758981 Or a new one is about 80.00 bucks from Corvette America or Eckler's.
