Let us know if there is nitrous involved, SC or turbo, what stall converter if applicable, gearing, etc.
Thanks. I am just trying to decide if a 44 is the right move for me or something a whole lot better. Obviously I am thinking down the road, but still a little uneasy with the converter I have and the new engine. I definately don't want to put a 44 in for 1500 beans and spread it all over the track the first time out. Then have to go to something else....
Cork is running a 44 with no problems, but his stall is lower than mine with a lower multiplier...the vig is pretty aggresive...
What are you power mongers thoughts...worry or just give it hell and forget about it?
Supposedly she's good to 1.5 60s. I would worry more about the hook than the power itself. There is a guy that races in Jersey, I forget his screenname but it's a teal '90 with an LPE engine in it. I think he is going solid axle this year because he busted one or two 44s with a good hook. JD konws who he is.
1.5 60' is what scares me. Cork is cranking off consistant 1.5s with no trouble, but I think my converter is gonna hit much harder than that. Either I am gonna blow the tires off of it, in chich case the rear will most likely be fine, or the thing is gonna hook like it does now and we're gonna see what the d44 can take.
Wonder if anyone is running one of these engines with a higher stall speed converter?
