Interior lights weirdness...
Today I was driving and noticed that the "dome" lights were all on. All the doors were fully closed. The "Security" light was not flashing. When I got to my destination, I opened and closed both doors multiple times and the interior lights would not go off. Opening the door would cause the RAP to turn off and the "Security" light to begin blinking -a sign that the door switches were working, IMO.
Earlier in the day, I had locked and unlocked the car (base '92), locking it w/the power lock switch while getting out, then unlocking it w/the key....and thought that perhaps the lock switch in the door might be stuck from unlocking, triggering the interior lights? I used the key in the door (again), I locked it, then unlocked it, opened the door and the lights didn't illuminate. At all. If I used the dash dimmer (all the way up), the lights would come on. Neither door illuminated the interior lights. I tried locking and unlocking again, no change, tried again, then the lights would finally come on w/the opening of either door BUT, they'd immediately extinguish with the closing of the doors; the delay timer wasn't working. I continued w/my errands and when I got home, I opened my door, lights came on, I got out, closed the door and the lights stayed on for about 15 seconds.
Why?
