So I have a 1985 C4 and I recently bought a targa top for it but being the dummy that I am, I didn't make sure that the top had the proper mounting holes for my year. So it turns out I bought one that's compatible for late 86-88 only. Here's a pic for reference:
So I made a post to sell it and someone actually made an interesting point about switching the brackets so that it's compatible for my vette. Has anyone else heard of this or done this? I'm interested in doing this since the top is struggling to sell. Any info on this process would be great if someone here has done it before. I'd like to try to switch the brackets so that this top mounts correctly. Would help the $500 hole I'm in currently

This fella is doing some salvage on an '86 soon. You don't mention where you're located but you might ask him to check the car he's intending to fetch parts from.
