I had an accidental neutral drop with my 700R4 can the lockup solenoid be damaged by that? It was not engaged and the trans is working just fine but the lockup is not working

I was hoping nobody would ask me about that, hahaha. I had 3 grounds in the wrong ports on the ecm, the car is running great. There was also another wire that was not the color the fsm said it should be. After finding all this I traced every wire in the ecm just to be sure all was right. Gordon Killebrew told me not to believe everything I read in the fsm. He told GM not to publish the '85 fsm but they did anyway. I would have to guess that some of the newer books are the same.
No, the solenoid should not have been affected, First off, is the ECM commanding lock up? Get a scan tool, road test it. You can see if it's commanding lock up. If it isn't you need to find out why, There may be parameters that are not met. If it is commanding lock up. then could be the solenoid. or the connector which could have been affected by you neutral drop.

Thanks for the response. I have my lockup on a toggle switch because around town or in slower speed areas my engine makes the whole car jerk. The cam is very lopey and anything below 35 is a rough ride. I just recently had wiring problems as stated above and I'm sure I have accidentally disconnected the tan/black wire. I've checked everything else and it is all okay so tomorrow I'll check that wire and see what I find.
