Default quick vacuum question

ok i attached a vac gauge and found at idle/neutral (manual tranny - '85 with 70K miles). at 149* rpm at 670-700 the vac showed was between 18-19 when hooked to the port marked in red

which at least on the gauge says "normal". I am not sure if that is or not - does any of that sound right?

thanks

Besides the # at idle you also are looking for a steady reading. Not bouncing around or fluttering or anything else . A vacuum gauge will tell you alot if you can read it.
If you image search for "vacuum gauge chart" you will see how that tool is very useful.
