Knock sensor, How many?
I have a 96 LT1. I have been told I have 1 knock sensor and I have been told I have 2. Does anyone know for sure how many a 96 LT1 had? I am not talking about the knock module that goes into the computer. Thanks in advance.

Thanks, I have no idea where they are, so I could not look. I plan on finding out and changing them this weekend.

Thanks, I have no idea where they are, so I could not look. I plan on finding out and changing them this weekend.
Why exactly are you going to change them out? If you don't know where they are how can you have done the diagnostics to determine you have a failure?
I have been doing some reading in the service manual about them. If you have a DVM then determining if they are good or bad is relatively simple. Check page 6E3-C5-5.. If you don't have the service manual, why are you doing this? Do you have an internal noise that causes a problem with drivability?
Not that I'm any expert but that's a lot of work for nothing.
