I hope you can get your money back since your “new” chip does not appear to have the correct configuration to plug into your ECM where you removed the old one. If it does not plug into the ECM it will not work.

You have what is called a "piggy back" chip. This requires an adaptor from Moates. Read this article and it's easy to do, just be careful nit to bend any pins.

Thanks for you info......I was not informed that I had to purchase more than just the "chip".... The first one I bought from Scott Hansen was just like the old one and plugged right in....Now he is out of business and i Think I have a problem with his.

Can anyone attest to the EPROM being removeable? Last one I removed the chip from, it had to be de-soldered.

The eprom is soldered onto them memcal. No way to remove/replace without careful/professional soldering. The G1 style adapter is the way to go unless you can de-solder the eprom and add a soldered in socket.
