Plugs, "AC#5, wires are purely personal choice, I use ACCEL 8mm #4000 where you make your own lengths, but if your going to factory route then a factory set from one of the Vette suppliers.
I Used to recommend the MSD8mm Super Conductors but after two sets failing in just months I won't do that anymore. I am ordering a set of the Taylor Spark Plug Wires to replace the MSD junk. The MSDSuper Conductorshad been great wires for decades but now they leak sparks out of the silicone boots that go over the plugs. I will not spend over $100 for a few months of working spark plug wires.
I do agree on the AC Spark Plugs however! I have even liked the AC Delco "Rapid-Fire" Spark plugs as they worked okay in my C3 and C4. Just stay away from the high dollar Iridium and others as they are not the best with the L98. That doesn't mean they don't work, they have become fouled easily on my C3. The C4 tolerates them better.
Good Luck with your choice, just let us know how they work for you.
Ordered AC#5 plugs and decided I would try the Taylor plug wires. I also found a GM rebate for $8.00 off the purchase of 8 plugs. I know it's not much but it's better than a poke in the eye.
Thank you for them replys.

I just did that, they said I didn't write the part number so they denied my rebate, I told them you can't fill the form out without filling in every line and I also sent a copy of the recept, but what ever keep your F****** $8 bucks, they replied that its now complete and check will arrive in 6 to 8 weeks!
I have the original spark plugs in my 93 that had 17,xxx miles on it when I bought it. They work fine, never have experienced
a miss under load and I've had it over 100 MPH. The original tires had to go first thing, cracked very deeply so I had
it transported to my house. Also has the original plug wires on it too!

Better check the wires carefully. Various materials age due to time, number of miles means little.
Heck, rubber ages quicker if not moved often, the oils fail to get pushed around.

I checked them in the dark and didn't see any spark jumping from the wires to ground. It idles good and accelerates good, no missing or stumbles !!
Bull. Not in 1988. I just looked it up in my 1988 FSM and the specified spark plug change interval is 30,000 miles.
The "100.000" mile interval began with precious metal, fine wire electrode plugs that were introduced in the Y2Ks. The conventional construction plugs used in the 80's were 30,000 mile plugs.
I just looked in my 93 FSM and on page 0B-6 Item 6 it states: Replace spark plugs every 100,000 miles.

Have you removed and examined the plugs? FSM makes assumptions on how the car will be used, weather, gas and all kinds of other factors.
Better to examine the plugs, make sure. My '87 sounded a little rough and started eating oil, checking plugs found one oily and black as night. Long story short, that cylinder turned out to be the problem alright.
