Battery goes dead overnight, can hear a clicking noise approx. under the glove box passenger side. This is a convertible so no dome light. Suspect it's a relay opening and closing. Any ideas where to look next?

You didn't mention year!!!! The only thing known is it isn't likely an '84 or '85 because you mention it being a 'vert!!!
Fog Lamp, Courtesy, Horn, Fuel and Defog relays are under the Right Side of the IP. You do have 'courtesy' lamps.
Being a new owner it's always suggested that you get a FSM (Factory Service Manual) and it would be wise. The relays aren't a difficult reach.
I can't PM you because you're a new user - Drop me a PM or an email using the links to the left under my user ID and I'll share some information.
They're arranged in this sequence under the right side;
Also check the circuit breakers in the fuse box. If there is a short in one of the circuits controlled by a breaker it will click as it trips and resets over and over. causing the battery to drain.
That used to happen on my '90. Quite a bit, in fact. The relay would go bananas and the courtesy lights would come on. A few times it happened in the midle of the night and drained my battery.
In my case it turned out that the door switch was the root problem.
The door switch hits home, the current drivers door switch is shot and the door ajar light stays on, will get the part and replace it, having to open up the door panel or not. But a relay is absolutely opening and closing repeatedly as I can hear it. Do have the factory manual for 1990, hoping that close enough.

Bolster etc removes same as '90 FSM explains you should be all set!

The driver side switch was the one that was bad on mine, too.
You could always hit it with some WD-40 and work it back and forth a few times, too. Maybe see what that does, if anything. Sometimes it works.
The other thing, and it's somethng I never thought about until my right side switch started actng up, is that little round, black, flat plastic tab on the door jamb itself that the button of the switch touches against. Mine was pretty shot. It was worn out. So I replaced that tab on both sides, mainly because I didn't want them left like that and since they were only around three dollars for the pair anyway and then the passenger side switch started acting right again without having to take anything apart.
Pretty sure the switch, if it's bad, will be the reason the relay keeps clicking open and closed.
Replaced the drivers door switch, once again found that I was not the first one there as the inner plastic liner had been taped back in place. Put everything back in and the famed Door Ajar dash light was off. Cool. Has that fixed the problem? Don't know, will let is sit tonight and find out.
Cheers!
