Please do not exile me from the forum for my question. Reason starting a new post / thread for a question addressed several time, i.e., there are several different replies to my question. My question: does the TPS on a 1994 with a T1 base engine require calibration? This forum and after many many web searches have resulted in various answers, i.e., yes with no specifics, yes giving an answer that does not match the specific TPS on my Corvette (see image), yes but it requires a Tech 1 to perform the “learn procedure”, 90 and up are not adjustable, install the TPS and go. If it helps I have included an image of the TPS on my Corvette. Any guidance will be greatly appreciated. Thanks Bob

I can only comment on my 1996 but it should be the same as yours.
I have two throttle bodies, factory OEM 48mm and a BBK 52mm. They each have their own TPS sensor installed.
I have never had to calibrate the TPS (and I do own a Clone Tech II scanner) when swapping throttle bodies.
I have had to adjust the throttle stop setting on the BBK along with other things to get the TPS at the proper voltage (around 0.7 volts) at idle but that's all. Both work fine and operate properly.
Why are you replacing the TPS? It will have to go through a learn procedure of some sort to get the right voltage at closed and at WOT.
I tried plug and play on my 96 and it didn't work. I was having idle issues and it turned out to be a bad IAC. I ut my old TPS back on. But ever since messing with the TPS my speedo says I am moving when I am stopped. Sometimes I am going 299 mph when sitting at a light! I mean I am going so fast it's sitting still! HAHAHA! C4 life!
Thinking about replacing the TPS re: have a rough idle. Other than that Vette runs great. Also have been looking into the IAC and the Map sensor as a potential cause. Thanks for the reply.
You might put a fuel pressure gauge on it at the schrader valve and make sure the pressure is staying at or near optimal range at idle. Just a thought.

Thanks, did check the fuel pressure before and after installing new fuel injectors, and it is on spec at 42#s.
Another question, does anyone know the specific Tech1 Cartridge required to set the voltage on throttle position sensor?
Just FYI: Somewhere I read it was the 88-92 BRAKE CARTRIDGE.
