One of my headlights doesn't flip up as fast or seems like it gets caught on something I'll have to add a video later on but any idea what could cause that ?
Most likely you have one of the opening gears failing on the slow side, which is causing drag and more friction. When those plastic / nylon gears fail, they cram up the gearbox mechanism with plastic dust / powder which gums up the works also before complete failure.
Replacement plastic gears are cheap.
Brass gears will last forever but much more expensive.
Job is a little complicated for a novice mechanic with not many tools.
I did the brass gears on my first car.
When the car I have now needs them I will just replace them with the plastic gears.
I figure the first pair lasted 25 years.
