I have a stock 85 with an automatic , i have these injectors installed ,are these too big for a stock motor? no drive ability issues just wondering ?
26LB Bosch Upgrade Set Of 8 Fuel Injectors
They are a little big but will work fine for the most part. You could be giving up some power at WOT if the car is running rich since those injectors are 8% larger then stock but that needs to be determined by checking AFR and what the engine actually wants.
Your fuel trims could be checked to see how much the computer was correcting and that would give you a idea on where you stood.
Think about a flex fuel car. Most run at least a 36 pound injector on a stock engine because of the extra flow needed. When you fill the tank with regular pump gas it runs just fine. So you can run almost any injector you want. As long as the tune is done for those injectors it will run fine.
Stock 85 is 24lb/hr but rated at a lower pressure, so they're similar to the 22s in later years.
26lb would be a bit too much for the ECM to compensate for I'd think.

fuel trims (int/blm) will tell the full story. or just get 24’s
