I'm adjusting my valves and ran into a situation with one of the exhaust valves. I'm doing my standard 1/2 turn to set, but one of my exhaust valves doesn't want to tighten that far
What do you do if you can't even get 1/2 turn while setting a valve (i'm getting maybe 1.4 turn)? Is this a sign that something might be wrong, or should I simply tighten it down 1/4 (as ffar as it will go) and go to the next valve?
Interesting that the general consensus is 1/2 turn past zero lash for rocker adjustment. I was doing a bit of perusing in my service manual and it calls for one full turn past zero lash. Hmmmm.....
