L98 LT1 Manifold Conversion: PCV System
Can anyone also explain the plumbing of the PCV system in an L98?
I am trying to figure out how to plumb the PCV system for my LT1 intake conversion.
I am going to use LT1 valve covers, so only one cover (passenger side) has a PCV grommet. My heads are the 1991 L98 113 heads. No sure if that affects anything. I am going to try to use my 1991 L98 TPI throttle body. I bring that up because I read that in the LT1 PCV system there is a vacuum lining running from the throttle body to somewhere?
Thanks!
For the LT1 intake manifold conversion setup, I just used a pair of 1996 LT4 valve covers (should be same as 93-96 LT1 except the drip tab clearance) and plumbed things the same as an LT PCV system. Seemed to work!
I now am going with a Miniram, the L98 type. I would like to still use my LT4 valve covers. How can I plumb the PCV system to work? Do I have to drill a hole in the drivers side valve cover? Can I drill a hole in the intake manifold itself so that a vacuum line can be run from the plenum into lifter Valley?
