4l60e swap
can i take any 4l60e transmission and just replace the tail shaft housing ( if i take a 1995 firebird 4l60e transmission and change the tail-shaft housing and put it into a 1995 corvette , will it fit ?)

Use a cutoff wheel and cut 5/8" off the end of the tailshaft. Then it will work.

I used the firebird as an example, I am purchasing a rebuilt transmission from dannys transmissions, they advised there should be no problems with the swap, I was just looking for information if any 2wd 4l60e would be able to be installed in a 95 corvette or if there is something special outside the tail shaft i should be thinking of, that's it
