Default Fuel Injector recommendation...

Hoping someone with experience can point me in the right direction.

Looking to purchase fuel injectors for my LT1 build but I'm stuck on which route to take. I've gone through at least 10 different injector "calculators" on various websites and have gotten at least 10 different answers ranging anywhere from 39 to 47 pound sizing.

Thought this would be a pretty simple decision initially, but with so many different answers coming from these calculators, I'm at a road block.

Same exact info was input into each calculator. Engine Size. Type. Fuel pressure and 80% Duty Cycle but everyone of these calculators gives me a different answer.

Hoping someone with experience can give me a recommendation.

600hp. N/A and running 43.5psi fuel pressure.

I'm leaning towards 42# right now - but that can change...

If there's anyone putting out similar numbers, I'd appreciate it if you could share what injectors you're running.

Thanks in advance.

I would lean to the high side of the calcs. You should try to stay at no more than 80% duty cycle. Whatever you pick just make sure that the offset tables are available for them.

Something like this might get you there: https://www.speedmaster79.com/Chevy-...System-Black_2

or: https://mcgeeracing.com/products/mcg...ection-package

or maybe: https://documents.holley.com/199r12258.pdf

I went through the same thing when I was sizing mine. I wanted to run E85 and dry nitrous so I had to go with way more injector. Another thing to think about being that you are NA is the spray pattern. If you were running boost I would say save the money and run decapped injectors and pull the injector data for the new tune off the HP Tuners forum. But on a NA motor they tend to have poor idle sometimes. Some people say the same thing with Siemans Deka's. Also be very careful of cheap Chinese knockoff injectors. These can have good flow numbers but are never flow matched and sometimes don't last very long.

I have had amazing luck with the new Holley Terminator injectors. I run the 76 pound Part # 522-768X. That's rated at 76 pounds at 60 psi of fuel pressure so for you would flow around 60 pounds at 43.5 psi. The injector data is right on there page so setting up the tune is easy. These are small enough that they will fit any intake/rail setup with the proper injector hats and O rings. You may need the harness adapters being they use the EV6 connector but that's not a big deal. But $400 for a set of name brand E85 compatible injectors that can support over 800 hp is hard to beat. Idle quality is very good and they just work well.

That's why I went with the siemens/deka 60#'ers (p/n 107961). They're good for 700+hp, but are very linear down to very small pulse widths. They idle great and there's really no tradeoff. Another benefit is that all the offset data is available, too.

If you do buy them, just make sure to buy direct or from an authorized dealer as they're a lot of counterfeits now on places like ebay.
