Hello guys. I'm new to this forum stuff. Here's my issue. When I put initial pressure on the gas pedal it sticks or catches. I tried cleaning up the throttle body and looked under the dash to see if the pedal is hanging up. Still catching. Any suggestions would be great thanks.
What year is the car, if you have traction control make sure that the cable is in the groove of the throttle body, if it is all good with cable and you still have the problem with car running grab the body near cable and see if you can fell that tension snap/click that your feeling with your foot, if so reclean the throttle body with a rag and solvent/Carburetor cleaner
Ok....when I worked the throttle by hand I couldn't feel it catch like it does with my foot. I did notice the spring looks a little beat. Is it possible the cable might me shot? Some day it isn't as bad as others.
You need to check the throttle with the engine running. The throttle is most likely hanging up at idle when running due to the losd on the throttle shaft.
