Hello everyone I just bought my first car (c4 corvette) and was wondering how difficult it is to replace the headlights. I've seen some videos online and it looks relatively simple. But I'd like to get a little more information before taking it all apart.

That being said, I've been eyeing this particular thread for something to try when the more-pressing issues are sorted.
(I don't know any of these folks, but the swap looks intriguing and is explained in detail.)

I have an 86 and had to replace a couple of headlights. I looked at the manual and online and came up with what I think worked out a little better. I have a battery cutoff on the car so here's what I did. I switched the battery off, raised the hood and pulled out the headlight switch. I hit the switch just enough to raise the headlight part way and disconnected the battery. With the headlight raised part way so I had access to all the necessary screws and changed out the bulb. When done, I just connected the battery to raise the headlights fully, pushed the headlight switch to off and lowered the lights and I was done.
It worked for me, so just a thought.
