Greetings!

I just bought my wife an 84 corvette just like her Dad had when she was a kid. Same color scheme as well. Low miles. Mint condition. Wondering though about right headlight. It opens and closes no problem. The light motor grinding awful after closing. Any thoughts?

Probably the plastic headlight gears, if you remove the motor do yourself a favor and remove the entire assembly, I recommend NOT trying to remove just the motor from the car. Also, the metal tabs go between the 2 rubber grommets so they can act as a cushion for the headlight hitting the stops in both directions. 84 headlight motors are probably 2 wire as later motors are 3 wire in case you replace check which one you have.
