Need immediate HELP if possible...
I am trying to meet a bunch of Forum folks at the NCRS show this morning...here's the problem...started my car this morning and after running for a couple of minutes I heard a strange buzzing coming from under the hood...then I got an "Service ASR" light..at the same time the "Security" light just to the left of the tach flashes 3 times and goes off for a minute then repeats...shut the car off and restarted..no lights...went a couple of miles and same lights....got the car back home and now it won't even start !!!..is there anything I can do to still make the show ?...thanks.. :cry
p.s. I borrowed a car to run down to the show..all thoughts still appreciated..

It sounds like you have two isolated problems: VATS is kicking in and the ABS system has sensed a problem. Pull some codes and let us know what it shows. :seeya

I don't know if this will help you but my 94 had similar problems. The ASR ON, ASR OFF, Service ASR + ABS & Service ABS lites started flashing along with the security lite flashing 3 times. They would stop flashing and the car would run normal. Finally they started flashing and would not stop. I had the car scanned and it turned out to be the ABS pump behind the drivers seat. When the pump was disconnected the car run fine. Finally I left the pump disconnected until I can afford to replace the pump. I have no proble driving with the ABS pump disconnected, but I havn't had any bad conditions as of yet.
