Default 85 power steering

What size is the flare nut on the power steering line under the linkage? Are they all the same size the one in front of the crank pulley is 5/8. Got a leak there

It's 5/8". Take a box end wrench and cut a slot in the hoop for best results.

why do you say that? Is that a better idea than using a flare nut wrench?

im about to have to go into the steering rack too.

Actually the one i was talking about is 1/2. I finally found a small enough wrench to get on it with. The one in front of the pulley is 5/8 though.

flare nut is better. notcing out a closed end will weaken most modern wrenches where it will slide around the hexe flats

If you've got flare nut wrenches, then you should use them. I just don't want to see anyone try loosening those nuts with just a straight wrench. Quick way to make an easy job tough.
