Using ASR switch to trigger performance mode in 411 pcm
My 95 Vette is currently running well on a torqhead 24x conversion and while playing around with the tune, I was thinking about ways to enable the "performance mode" shift tables. From what I understand, to use them the PCM needs to see a momentary ground on pin 71 of the blue connector and that the ASR button is also a momentary ground switch. Do you see any harm In tapping into the switch to also provide momentary ground to the pin on the ecm? I'd love to be able to automatically switch to the performance mode shift tables when disabling ASR for more spirited driving but don't want to anger the CCM or ABS computers in the car. I've included the ASR button wiring diagram that I found in another thread. If you have any other ASR switch diagrams feel free to post or link to them.
OP - Do you have the '95 FSM(Factory/Field Service Manual)? 8A-44-0 if you do will have wiring. It will also have all of the wiring connectors displayed in the diagram locations listed. I can supply you with a '95 FSM if you don't have. Here's a larger diagram from the '95 FSM.
