Any ideas on what could be causing a long crank? When it's running she runs great. It's only sometimes when it's cold that it cranks for abnormally long.
Toss a fuel pressure gauge on. Turn the key on. You'll see the pressure go up and then quickly off if you have this issue. Theres a spec in the manual somewhere for how long it should have pressure, but you'll know.
If it does bleed off fast, its either the FPR or its flowing back to the tank. If its the FPR you'll probably have fuel in the vacuum line, and if your car is running fine its probably just the pump letting it back in the tank.
Ok, I may have spoken to soon. It looks like it still happens but now only when the engine is warm. It cold starts no problem. I did notice a significant improvement in acceleration with the new fuel pump though.
