It’s been a fun and trying day with the install. The charger is installed on the mounting bracket now. :) Some cutting of the radiator shroud was required :cuss Which was not in the directions. The mounting bolts were not the right size. :mad So off to the store we went and found the right ones. :) Tomorrow we plan on finishing the engine compartment stuff. Mounting the radiator hose power steering reservoir etc… We also hope to get all of the gauges wired and the fuel pump installed. If I can borrow my friend’s digital cam I will get some pics and try to post them. After the install is complete I will post the before and after dyno results. Until tomorrow eve good night and enjoy your weekend. :seeya

Nothing new typical ati what ever you do don't call ati for help those $5.00 per hour flungies that man the phones don't know poopie. Just redesign things to make them work I got one of the socalled guy's in tech to addmit that he had never seen a C4 with their blower installed on it but this is who is going to tell you how to install it  :U
Re: Started procharger install today (Spacecowboy)
Charger is in :) It was like trying to fit Shaq in a pair of baby shoes :smash: :smash: The car flooded right on start up. :mad The problem was easily fixed the fmu vacuum line has to be by itself on the top vacuum hole in the manifold. The car started and was backfiring. We adjusted the fmu and took it out for a test drive. The test drive was not too successful. Problems encountered were backfiring under a load 1500-RPM and cleared up at around 2300 RPM to 5000 RPM. With a little more adjustment of the fmu the car got smoother at 1500RPM to about 5000RPM and the backfiring started again. Right now its time for a shower and bed. If any of you supercharged guy’s have any ideas I am open for suggestion’s and will be checking mt email in the morning. Thanks Lance :mad :mad :mad :mad
Re: Started procharger install today (Spacecowboy)
Yes I did get the problems sorted out. The missing was from a bad plug. It could have been form the initial flood or just a bad one from the factory. Any way the coolant tank did not fit back in and the directions suck. The car runs great and hauls azz. The fuel pressure so posed to be anywhere from 80 to 90 psi. Any thing above 47.8 the car runs rich. The current setting is 46.6 at full boost 6psi. The service engine light keeps coming on and I will have it checked out next week Wednesday. I believe the o2 sensors might of gotten dirty from the flood or it could be the temp sensor on the intake it has to be removed from the factory housing and reinstalled in an ATI housing so I hope it was not damaged in the process.
The car has some serious traction problems now in first or second gear at about 5000 RPM the tires start to spin. Granted my goodyear gsc are about half worn. The bfg drag radials are here and will go on the same time I have the engine light checked out.
Would I recommend the procharger. Yes :) :) :) :)
Just remember that there is some cutting involved. Radiator shroud, cooling fan mounting ear, power steering hoses, radiator hoses, and where the air cleaner sits there is a big hole so that the inter cooler can get cool air. All of the holes can not be seen with every thing in place.
My base line dyno run was 277.1 hp at the tires. The next run is going to be in a few weeks (sorry but work calls). Any ways I have a brand new SLP claw intake witch adds 12 hp proven on the dyno for sale and a hypertec module which adds 5.6 hp on the dyno for sale. SLP 180 you pay shipping and 180 for the chip same thing you pay shipping. If any one has any other questions just post them I will try to answer them as best as I can. Have a nice day.
Wow my ATI had no problems and my instructions were fine? i wonder why you had so much trouble???? But i am glad the car is running and with some tuning and chip you should make good #'s
Re: Started procharger install today (Spacecowboy)
Hi yes my car is running great I have been breaking the dyno run is scheduled for the 20th but I have to be in class so I don’t know if I will be able to make it I will keep every one posted.
I definitely need to follow this post, considering I'm starting my install on March 1st :D
Good luck at the dyno!
Stock engine???
SpaceCowboy: Any updates???

Stock internals, yes. I've got upgraded injectors and a custom chip. I'll have fun with it for a couple years at most and build a replacement long block built for boost. I'm also going to replace the water pump and opti. I noticed you have a meziere water pump. How was the clearance on that? does it have a bigger profile than the cam driven one? i.e. does it stick out very far?
I'm actually installing the WP aswe speak. The Pump uses the stock housing. The electric Motor mountss to the front of the pump housing. The drive shaft from the cam gets removed.
