Could you explain exact what you did to your TPI base and runners?

First I ported the plenum to match a 52mm TB, fluted the upper runners and port matched the side openings in the plenum.

Later I pulled the intake base and cut out the base runner walls 1" high and nearly 1" deeep into the base. I also cut 1" high and about 1/4" deep into the lower runners.

There are pics, instructions and references on my site along with before/after dyno pulls. You can see at the 5,400rpm point that peak HP was up by about 10% or 20hp.

Since I have an A4 the dyno pulls satarted around 3,200rpm so I have no quantitative data on low end but I feel that I lost a little low end because my 60' times increased very slightly. I compensated for this by installing a slightly higher stall TC.

My current shift points are at 5,200rpm and 5,800rpm (1-2 and 2-3) and I feel the 1-2 shift is a little too low while the 2-3 shift is a little high for the current setup.

I hope to have time to pull the intake base again increase the siamese depth to about 2 1/2". This should be ok with my current setup and be about ideal later when I pocket port the heads and do a good cam.
