Neverending project> i can tell you first hand that Electromotive's tech support is not that great. There is one guy that will actually talk to you and try and help with problems, other than that your out of luck. Unless you have a dealer close to you that is willing to help. That would make a big difference.

When I buy another stand alone computer it will be the F.A.S.T. with wibeband. Skimping on fuel management is not a good idea. I have numerous friends that have blown several engines up trying to save money and use add on parts with stock computers.

Also, we had to restrict the oil feed on my car. We had to solder the 90 degree fittings and drill a small hole in them. What size hole? I could not tell you, whoever your buying the turbos from should give you this info. Of course this would effect warranty if they were starved for oil. A turbo builder who knows what they are looking at when they tear a turbo apart can tell you what caused damage.

Its great to see others willing to take on this project.

P.S. Im looking for a 4L80E if any of you guys know were one is at a descent price.

i only skimmed through this, but didn't see anyone else mention using the 7749 computer from the 90-92 Syclone/Typhoon. it uses a 2 or 3 bar map and looks to be an easy, inexpensive swap for 7730 or 7727 speed density TPI guys.

This might have just turned do-able again... That is some great info their!!!!! That teamwork :grouphug:

My old best friend, now a moron, has a typhoon... I should ralph his system, hahaha.... :jester

yes ex-gold , i have gathered that. matter of fact , heres an e-mail i sent them yesterday.
"i dont want to come off the wrong way so first id like to say. i think your product may be exactly what i am looking for. however, ive been waiting for your help on a few questions i have about this system for 5 days. if it takes this long to answer a few questions someone has about your product, how long will it take for me to get some help if a problem comes up after i purchase it?"
i believe i would be happier with f.a.s.t. , but 3grand??? ouch!!!!
i dunno. im not gonna solve this issue this week, but it'll work out one way or the other.

I decided to hold this TT project off, I want to first go with heads and a Stealth Ram and look for 450HP. Then later on I will go to a 4L80E and then a Dart Block and then do a TT setup. Good Luck to whoever will be starting their project anytime soon :yesnod:
