Default Which tire pressure?

The sticker on my door says 30 psi cold pressure, but the Yokahama tires say 42 psi cold! I heard somewhere that you should go with the sticker on the door, but it seems like the tire manufacturer would know what's best for their tires. What do you think?

Do what the tire says.

I think the rating on the tire is max pressure.

I run with 35/32psi = front/rear for best handling and traction.

:withstupid:

42 PSI would be the MAX tire pressure. Can you imagine what it would be after the tire heats???? KABOOM!! Depending on how you dirve, 30 to 35 would be optimal.

Tires are marked with maximum pressure recommended. 42psi is wayyyy too high for street driving.

You need to run between 30-35psi all around.
