Just found this nice little surprise from the previous owner.
Question #1 can someone tell me what size and threads this bolt is so I can buy a replacement.
Question# 2 how serious is it to leave it like this for a little while? I have not noticed any symptoms.
Question #3 any advice on how to get the bugger out? Looks like I got enough threads hanging out to maybe get vice grips on it.
I am confused what you are saying about taking the runners off for more bolts?
The broken bolt is sticking out of the runner flange about 1/8". If you remove the runners, the bolt will be sticking out of the manifold an additional 1/2", the thickness of the runner flange.
In any case, the bolt is seized in the manifold, that's why the head got broken off. With the runner removed, applying heat and penetrating oil to the bolt would be more effective in facilitating its removal. Also, with the runner removed, there will be more room to get the vice-grips or a stud remover on the bolt stub.
