Default Door mirrors

Does anyone know where I can buy a replacement mirror that includes the plastic backing that snaps to the motor assembly? I pulled mine off to tighten the screws and my passenger side won't snap back into place, the little tangs broke. I see the replacement mirrors for sale but I think they are to attach over a broken glass... I may have to buy used but worry that a used one will be brittle like mine and possibly break when I am trying to snap in. Suggestions welcome.

Same exact thing is broken on my right side mirror.

I've looked for a replacement since last Fall. No dice.

I'm I'm certainly not gonna buy a complete side mirror and housing assembly just for the glass.

Gonna have to rig it some way.

It shakes something awful...

Might just hot glue it. That way it''ll still come off easy if I need to get back on there and tighten screws down or something.

I hit each one of those busted connectors on the back of the glass with some silicone this morning where it snaps to the trunion and it's held tight. No more shaking while driving. I took it out for maybe 20 miles or so. Stayed put solidly.

Other applications where theres stress like that, i use JB Weld PLASTICBONDER, it holds at 3770 psi.

I siliconed mine and so far it works. I assume they need to be able to move a bit as the mirror adjusts? I would still be happy to pay for new replacements if anyone has knowledge of them.

Yeah, I didn't wanna use anything that would bond so strongly that I wouldn't be able to get the thing back of without doing even more damage.

There's screws back there that will losen over time and you have to pop the mirror in order to tighten em.

With the siilicone, I can always pop it off, remove the old silicone and reapply if have to.
