My 1986 corvettes hood got stuck in the closed position. Passenger side is released and free to move. Driver side is in the released position but is still stuck in latch and will not move or release. Any ideas how to get this to release.
*update* I forgot to mention that driverside cable is no longer connected and arm is in unlocked position. Pulled batter panel and wheel fenders off to get up in it and also snaked a cam up so I know it’s released. Issue that started it was hood got shim aligned and pin with spring might be jammed.

First are you sure that the cable is pulling the latch, if so you try flexing the car to twist out the latch. When we in the odd day would have this occasion at the Dealership we would try this roll 1 tire up a curb or a ramp on the alignment rack. Give the car a little twist with the lever pulled it would sometimes be the trick.
Now second if I had to pick a side and a year you have it, if needed you can pull inner fender and wheel remove the battery and have tons of access to latch

sadly already pulled but battery is bigger then fender lip I was able to get in anyways which is how I seen lever is in unlocked.
With someone else holding the lever push pull and push side to side sometimes the the rim gets stuck on the latch, since you're inside the fender have you tried to turn the adjustment nut an extra turn

sadly yes and the adjustment nut is no long in socket or attached to lever
I meant it as a joke. The pic I used is from another peep that couldn't get the hood open, but he wasn't trying to save the hood because of collision damage and he has a replacement.
A few years back I passed a pretty beat C4 on the freeway and laughed for over a minute when I saw a 3"X5" cut out in the side of the hood above the battery. I surmised he couldn't get his hood open either, and didn't give enough ***** to even glue the piece back in the hole.

Hi you can make a tool see link below, then please fit latch release tabs for future 👍
