Default ASR light on dash

Hello, 1996 LT4 Collectors Edition. Replaced original GSC tires and rims which were in excellent condition, with new shoes and wheels from OE Wheels. ASR light is now on since the TPS sensor bands are no longer present. Any suggestions?

Run through your codes and make sure its just the tps sensor. If so clear the code that should do it. Ive got a 94 but i believe 96 still uses the paperclip trick. Jam a paperclip in your obd port pins #4 and #12. Turn the key to on but not run and the digital dash should read out your codes. Itll run through module 1 which is the ccm, module 4 ecm and module 9 abs/asr stuff. Jot down whatever codes pop up and look up 96 corvette dtc code meanings for each number. After it cycles thru use the trip odo button to go from 1.0 to 1.1 to 1.2 etc until you see 1.7. Hold eng met until 3 bars appear and youve cleared all module 1 codes. After that hold the trip reset button till the dash moves to module 4. Repeat to 4.7 and clear. Hold trip reset again to module 9, repeat to 9.7 and clear. Turn the key off and wait a few seconds. Then start her up and see if the light is there. If no then great youre done. If yes then go through the codes again and see what it says. Im fairly certain clearing the codes should fix it but holler back if it doesnt

1996 is OBD 2, so you can hook up a scanner/code reader and see if any DTCs are present. If you don't have one, a local auto parts store will be able to hook one up and read it for you. I'd go that route first and see what codes, if any, you get back.

The ASR light should not have anything to do with the TPMS sensors being removed on the rims. I replaced my wheels with larger diameter aftermarket wheels without the TPMS sensors and the light that illuminates on the cluster is the TPMS light (tire pressure monitor sensor). It will not illuminate the ASR ( anti slip regulation).
Do you mean the TPMS light is illuminatd?
