85 gauge cluster issue
Hello all,
My 85 gauge cluster only displays LO for the coolant and oil temps. After engine assembly and initial startup, the worked properly. When I took it on its first drive after rebuild, they will not come off of LO. I contacted a company that services the clusters, and they said it was probably the temp sensors. Just strange to me that both sensors would fail at the same time. I checked the coolant temp sensor and it seemed to be working but replaced it anyway.
Think it's worth a shot to send the cluster off for service or keep digging?

Disconnect the sensors. If the wiring and cluster are good the gauges should go to the maximum reading. If it still reads low, I would suspect a bad ground on the back of the cylinder head or a crushed harness.
