85 Throttle body conundrum

I have the same problem with a BBK 58mm throttle which is not very old.

The throttle stick jams right at the start when you press it and the car is running, it doesn't jam when the car is not running.
My idle is around 1000-1100 rpm but when I press the gas pedal quickly to the bottom and release it the idle drops to normal around 850 rpm.

I have had to spray a little WD-40 oil into the shaft after which the problem no longer occurs but this only lasts about a month or two max.

Part of the reason for this is that I have methanol/water injection which "cleans" the shaft quickly of oil and it may dry out faster.
I believe that this is also made in China where the quality is poor...
