Very strange problem
So about two years ago or longer I drove my Vette into the storage garage where I parked it for the winter. It sat til the next spring and when I went to drive her she fired up and I let her idle for a bit while I over looked everything, jumped in backed her out of the garage and sat there for a moment before putting her in gear.
She stalled out.
I tried to start her again but the only way she would start is with the throttle on the floor.
She ran ruff and would not idle without dyeing and had to floor her again and keep the RPM up. But as soon as you put her in gear she died again.
When you put her in gear it was like she was in forward and reverse at the same time. Would not go anywhere and still would not idle .
I pushed her back into the garage and went home. The next day I brought a friend incase I had to push her again.
Well she fired right up and I let her idle while we talked about what went on the day before. As soon as she got almost to running temp she died.
Back to the same problem. Starts but once almost warm dies of you need to keep her in high RPM`s but still stalls as soon as you put her in gear.
I have been chasing this problem for better then a year now with no results,, HELP
Have you cleaned the throttle plates, and your sure you're fuel isn't contaminated, stale or water (yes even garaged Pampered cars can get water in tanks)
Have you checked your fuel pressure.
Ran great when I parked her,,, Thought could be the EMC but that's a spendy part and dont want to just throw more parts and money at her, Have a new O2 sensor ready to go in when I fix the starting issue,,
