Default A/C System Pressure

Last week while out in my 95 i turned A/C on and seemed to be lower output then last year. Got some 134A today and went to fill it. Showed only 25 pounds on gauge before addition and would not go any higher then 35. The temps at the interior ducts were much better with charge, but wondering if 35 pounds is normal in the C4 since the gauge on the 134A tank showed it to be only half way in the green range? Hoping that any leak in system will be resolved by the sealant included in the 134A.

"Normal" is subjective. Kind of like asking "How long is a piece of string". Pressures will vary depending on the ambient temperature. It may or may not be correct. By "gauge on the 134A tank", I am assuming you are talking about the "all in one" DIY unit. Not something to rely on. I think those units were invented by an AC shop owner so people can fk their system up and then have to bring it in so people who know what they are doing can fix it.

I do understand that the gauges the on the DYI tanks may not be 100% accurate but I'm guessing they aren't widely off the mark. Was just looking to see what others have found their system pressure to be at when full.

Temp was heading toward the mid to upper 70's so looks line pressure of 35 was reasonable. Thanks for the chart.
