cam changing made easy
GM performance parts now has a setup like the LS-1 engines for the older engines that hold the hyd roller lifter up just by rotating the cam so you do not have to remove the intake system to change cams, just remove the front of the engine and the distributor. :chevy

the part # is 88958652 and you need 2 of this number. it will save a lot of extra work by not having to removing the intake system when changing cams. :chevy

i have no pictures but it is plastic pieces like used on the LS-1 engines to hold the lifters up once you spin the cam to raise the lifters.

How do you get them in there and to hold onto them?

Re: (clem zahrobsky)
Ok so...
You have to drill and tap between each lifter to add these things? Then you remove the rockers and when you spin the cam they will hold the lifters up or something? I thought these were like a tool. It almost sounds like a reverse valve spring mechanism to hold them up somehow. I think I'll pass. :)
