Does anyone have any real figures as opposed to the manufactures of after market equipment performance and horsepower gains. I dont want to go internal, mainly bolt on. I have been to callaway, but I think if I am going to spend that much, I will sell my 94 six speed and buy a ZR-1. :chevy
Im interested in more horsepower, dont want to drop down to a lower gear ratio, do a lot of highway driving. Im interested in staying ahead of the pony boys
With a 6speed, most people put in 4.10s, the car will feel totally different and will be quicker in the 1/4mi.
Headers are worth 10-15hp, catback about 10, together you should get 20-25hp. 1.6 RR are usually 10-15. K&N filter w/open lid, TB bypass might add another 5hp. Thats all of what i call 'bolt-ons'.
Then youre into head/intake porting and cam changes for really high power. The hotcam kit is what most people use. Its more than capable of handing a Rustang its azz.
